Ronan Corgel
PhD Student, Georgetown University

I’m currently a second-year PhD student in Georgetown University’s Global Infectious Disease program where I’m advised by Dr. Shweta Bansal and a member of the Bansal Lab. My research interests broadly include the mathematical modeling of infectious disease dynamics, public health surveillance, and the impact of human behavior on disease transmission.
In 2023, I graduated from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with a Master of Science degree in Infectious Disease Epidemiology. There, I was advised by Dr. Amy Wesolowski and a member of the Infectious Disease Dynamics group.
Upon completion of my doctorate, I hope to use my educational and professional experience in epidemiology and data science to work in an applied public health setting. Please contact me via email or LinkedIn if you wish to connect or have any questions.
